Gina and John chose an intimate celebration at The Shelbourne, one of Dublin’s most distinctive five-star addresses, set on St Stephen’s Green in the heart of Dublin City.
After the ceremony, we crossed to the Green for a short portrait walk before returning to the hotel for dinner with family in the Constitution Room. Dougie Farrelly photographed the celebration for Silverscreen with a calm, discreet approach capturing the atmosphere and the quieter moments as the day unfolded naturally.

Photographing an intimate wedding at The Shelbourne
The Shelbourne works particularly well for an intimate wedding in Dublin because you can combine the character of the hotel with St Stephen’s Green directly across the road. For this celebration, a short portrait walk after the ceremony gave us a completely different setting without taking the couple away from their guests for a long period.
Back at The Shelbourne, the Constitution Room provided a private setting for dinner with family, allowing the photography to remain relaxed and unobtrusive throughout the celebration.
